Youth & Student Ministries

Immanuel’s student ministries build a connection between a student’s faith walk with Christ and their everyday activities.  Our intent is to help students live out the faith they believe and confess at school, sports, music, activities, community and home.

Middle School

Activities for sixth grade through eighth grade students are held on a regular basis.  These activities complement the service projects and family nights  the seventh and eighth graders participate in through confirmation.  See the calendar for current information.

Puppet Ministry Puppets

Beginning in sixth grade, students are invited to participate in Immanuel’s puppet ministry.  Christian puppeteering provides a way for students to share the Gospel in a non-threatening, creative and fun way.   Puppets perform skits and songs during worship and Sunday School and other special events.  See the calendar for times and dates.

Lutheran Youth Organization (LYO) LYO

LYO is the name of our senior high school age student ministries.  Regular meetings are held on Wednesday nights throughout the school year, and as announced during the summer.  Activities include Bible study, fellowship, food and fun.  Service activities are planned throughout the year.  An annual mission trip is hosted each summer.  Past mission trips include an Indian reservation in Pine Ridge, South Dakota, inner-city Chicago, and in the mountains of Colorado.
